The Estate

The vineyard of Château Haut-Brion is part of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, located north of the Graves wine region in Bordeaux. Haut-Brion's terroir, formed by two significant ridges of Günzian gravel, rises 12 to 15 meters above the nearby watercourses. These gravelly soils consist of small stones, composed of various quartz varieties: true gems of Château Haut-Brion's terroir. Château Haut-Brion was established and structured as early as 1525, making it the oldest vineyard in Bordeaux.
