1998 Château Brane-Cantenac
The 1998 Château Brane-Cantenac is a beautifully matured Margaux that embodies the estate’s long-standing dedication to elegance and finesse. The warm growing season ripened the Cabernet Sauvignon perfectly, while the sandy-gravel soils contributed vibrancy and freshness to the blend. Aromas of redcurrant, dried rose petals, and cedar transition to a silky palate of plum, savory herbs, and wet stone, making this a graceful wine that highlights Margaux’s aging potential.

Château Brane-Cantenac, a Second Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, has been producing wines since the 18th century. Known for its elegant Margaux blends, the estate combines tradition with modern techniques to craft Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines of depth, balance, and finesse.
Situated in Margaux, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, the estate benefits from a temperate maritime climate with warm summers and mild winters, ensuring consistent ripening of the grapes.
The gravel soils provide excellent drainage, promoting deep root systems and concentrated flavors. These terroirs contribute to the aromatic complexity, silky texture, and aging potential characteristic of Margaux wines.
