Henri Bonneau, one of the most legendary figures in Rhône Valley winemaking, was known for crafting some of the most revered Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. The estate is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the Rhône Valley’s most iconic appellations. This region is characterized by its Mediterranean climate, with warm, sunny days and the influence of the mistral wind. These conditions are ideal for Grenache-dominant blends, which thrive in the region’s hot, arid environment.
Henri Bonneau’s vineyards are situated on some of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most prized terroirs, including plots with galets roulés—heat-retaining stones that aid ripening.
