Château Magdelaine, established in the 18th century, was a Premier Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion. In 2012, the estate merged with Château Bélair-Monange, but its legacy endures in its finely crafted Merlot-dominant wines. Known for their elegance and refinement, these wines are a testament to Saint-Émilion’s limestone plateau.
Located in Saint-Émilion, the estate benefits from the limestone plateau’s excellent drainage and cool climate, which are ideal for Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
The clay-limestone soils provide vibrant acidity and minerality, key to the wines’ longevity and depth. This terroir ensures a balance of freshness, structure, and complexity in the blends.
