2004 Château Clerc Milon
A vintage of quiet charm, 2004 Château Clerc Milon reflects the balance and restraint of a cooler year. Cabernet Sauvignon thrives on the estate’s gravel-rich soils, delivering redcurrant, cedar, and cigar box on the nose. The medium-bodied palate reveals tart red fruit, earth, and fine graphite, with firm yet approachable tannins making it a wine for those who appreciate Pauillac’s traditional finesse.

Château Clerc Milon, classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, has a storied past marked by various ownerships. In 1970, Baron Philippe de Rothschild acquired the estate, integrating it into the family's prestigious portfolio and initiating extensive renovations to elevate its status.
Situated in the Pauillac appellation, Château Clerc Milon is nestled between two First Growths, Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Lafite Rothschild. The region's climate, moderated by the nearby Gironde estuary, provides ideal conditions for viticulture, particularly for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The estate's 41-hectare vineyard is planted on deep gravel soils, characteristic of Pauillac's esteemed terroir. This composition facilitates excellent drainage and contributes to the production of wines with depth, concentration, and aging potential, reflecting the unique attributes of their origin.
