The Estate

Château Troplong Mondot's origins trace back to the 17th century under the ownership of Abbé Raymond de Sèze, who constructed the estate's distinguished château. In the mid-19th century, Raymond Troplong acquired the property, enhancing its vineyards and reputation, leading to the addition of his name to the estate. The Valette family took ownership in 1936, with Christine Valette-Pariente and her husband, Xavier, representing the third generation of stewardship. Their dedication elevated Troplong Mondot to Premier Grand Cru Classé status in Saint-Émilion.
