Domaine Boisson-Vadot, rooted in Meursault’s rich viticultural history, reflects the Boisson family’s enduring winemaking legacy. Established generations ago, the estate carried the family name along with that of Bernard Boisson’s wife, Vadot. Under Bernard’s stewardship, the domaine earned a reputation for crafting wines of purity and depth. In 2017, his children, Anne and Pierre, assumed leadership, transitioning the estate into three distinct entities: Domaine Boisson-Vadot, Domaine Pierre Boisson, and Domaine Anne Boisson.
Situated in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, Meursault is synonymous with world-class white wines, primarily from Chardonnay. The region’s limestone-dominant soils and temperate continental climate create ideal conditions for producing wines with richness and mineral elegance. Premier cru sites like Genevrières, along with well-regarded village-level vineyards, contribute to Meursault’s renown as a hub for terroir-driven expressions of Burgundy.
Domaine Boisson-Vadot’s vineyards span some of Meursault’s finest sites, including the prestigious Genevrières premier cru. The estate employs organic farming practices and a minimalist philosophy in the cellar, emphasizing native yeast fermentation and extended élevage of up to 22 months. With minimal use of new oak, their wines retain a focus on soil-driven character and classic Burgundian elegance, producing Bourgogne Blanc and Meursault wines celebrated for their balance, structure, and longevity.
