Domaine Sylvain Cathiard was established in the mid-20th century and has risen to prominence as one of Burgundy’s most sought-after producers. Sylvain took over the family estate in the 1980s, and today it is run by his son, Sébastien Cathiard. Known for their meticulous vineyard work and commitment to low yields, the domaine has earned a reputation for crafting elegant, deeply expressive wines from some of the Côte de Nuits’ most esteemed sites.
The Côte de Nuits, located in Burgundy’s northern region, is famed for producing some of the world’s finest Pinot Noir.
