Azienda Agricola Gianfranco Alessandria is a family-run winery located in Monforte d'Alba, Piedmont. Founded in the 1980s, the estate began as a small operation, with Gianfranco taking over and transitioning it into a producer of high-quality Barolo wines. Over the years, the family has gained acclaim for their dedication to crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines while maintaining a deep connection to tradition.
The estate is situated in the Langhe region of Piedmont, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rolling hills and picturesque vineyards. The climate in this area is continental, with warm days and cool nights, creating ideal conditions for Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto grapes. The region is celebrated for producing some of Italy’s most prestigious wines.
The vineyards of Gianfranco Alessandria are planted in Monforte d'Alba’s calcareous clay soils, which provide structure and complexity to the wines.
