Domaine Anne Boisson, part of the Boisson family legacy in Meursault, represents a winemaking tradition spanning over two centuries. Originally operating under Domaine Boisson-Vadot, the family now bottles wines under separate labels led by siblings Pierre and Anne Boisson. Working alongside their father Bernard, they have maintained the estate’s commitment to quality, producing a modest 3,000 to 4,000 cases annually. Anne Boisson has gained a cult-like following, particularly in New York, for her precise and expressive wines.
Situated in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, Meursault is famed for its exceptional white wines. The region's terroir, marked by limestone-rich soils and a temperate continental climate, is particularly well-suited to Chardonnay. Known for its elegant structure and rich texture, Meursault wines often exhibit notes of hazelnut, honey, and ripe stone fruits. The village’s long history of viticulture and small-scale producers like the Boisson family contribute to its global reputation.
Domaine Anne Boisson’s vineyards are planted in some of Meursault’s most prized lieux-dits, including Les Chevalières and Sous la Velle. These parcels, with vines dating as far back as 1947, benefit from diverse soil compositions that enhance the wines’ depth and minerality. The estate also produces Aligoté and Bourgogne Blanc, showcasing the versatility of Burgundy’s terroir. With a focus on small-batch production, Anne Boisson captures the essence of Meursault’s unique vineyard sites in every bottle.
