Domaine Jacques Carillon traces its lineage back to the 16th century, with a winemaking heritage rooted in Puligny-Montrachet. Established in its current form in 2010 after the family estate was divided, Jacques Carillon has focused on producing precise and expressive wines. The domaine is known for its limited production and dedication to showcasing the purity of Chardonnay.
Located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, Puligny-Montrachet is synonymous with some of the finest white wines in the world. The area's temperate climate and gentle slopes are ideal for cultivating Chardonnay, producing wines with exceptional balance and depth.
The domaine’s vineyards, spanning around six hectares, are planted primarily on limestone and clay soils, which are integral to Puligny-Montrachet’s hallmark minerality. With a mix of premier cru sites and village-level parcels, the terroir imparts vibrant acidity, fine texture, and layers of complexity to the wines.
