Domaine Gallety, established in the 1970s by Alain Gallety, has become a pioneer in the Côtes du Vivarais appellation. Known for its innovative spirit, the estate was instrumental in elevating the region's reputation for high-quality wines. Now managed by the next generation, the domaine remains focused on producing balanced and elegant wines that honor its heritage.
Nestled in the southern Rhône Valley, the Côtes du Vivarais is a lesser-known yet dynamic appellation. The region experiences a Mediterranean climate with significant diurnal temperature variation, which supports the cultivation of Grenache and Syrah. Its rugged, undulating terrain adds character to the wines.
The estate’s vineyards span clay-limestone soils rich in fossils, which contribute to the wines' minerality and structure. Positioned at higher altitudes, the vines benefit from cooler nights, preserving acidity and freshness. This unique terroir lends Domaine Gallety's wines their distinctive depth and complexity.
