Domaine Vaïsse, founded by Pierre Vaïsse, began its journey in 1999 with the acquisition of 11 acres in the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. After supplying grapes to the local cooperative for five years, Pierre established his own estate, releasing the first vintage in 2007. Mentored by esteemed winemakers such as Frédéric Pourtalie of Domaine de Montcalmès and Laurent Vaillé of La Grange des Pères, Pierre has elevated his wines to the pinnacle of Languedoc's offerings.
Situated in the Terrasses du Larzac, part of the Languedoc region in southern France, Domaine Vaïsse benefits from a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild winters. The estate is located in Puéchabon, an area known for its unique microclimate influenced by the nearby Larzac plateau, which brings cooler night temperatures that help maintain acidity and freshness in the grapes.
