The Estate

Domaine Méo-Camuzet, founded in the early 20th century, is one of Burgundy's most prestigious estates. Located in Vosne-Romanée, the domaine manages about 14 hectares of vineyards, including holdings in several grand cru sites such as Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, and Échezeaux. Under the leadership of Jean-Nicolas Méo since the 1980s, the estate has risen to prominence, known for producing wines of exceptional quality and finesse. Méo-Camuzet's history is notable for its connection to Henri Jayer, a legendary Burgundian winemaker who served as a consultant and mentor to the domaine.

Mid-Hill Sites Excel

The clay-dominant soils provided essential water regulation through intense summer heat in this distinctive premier cru site. The mid-hill position balanced exposure while protecting against the vintage's peak temperatures. Dark fruits and ferrous minerals define this structured wine, showing both power and the site's classic soil-driven character.

Clay Banks Fight Frost

April frost reduced yields across the clay-rich parcels, while cool temperatures prolonged the growing cycle. The site's clay-iron soils and sheltered position helped maintain equilibrium through difficult conditions, producing precise Pinot Noir with red fruit intensity, ferrous minerality, and the vineyard's muscular frame.
