Founded in 1860, Maison Régnard is one of the oldest and most esteemed producers in Chablis. Acquired by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette in 1984, the estate has continued its tradition of crafting elegant, terroir-driven Chardonnays. With a focus on preserving the purity and minerality that define Chablis, Régnard remains a benchmark for the region’s winemaking excellence.
Chablis, located in northern Burgundy, is world-renowned for its crisp and mineral-driven Chardonnay. The region's cool continental climate, with cold winters and moderate summers, helps preserve acidity and freshness in the wines. Chablis' vineyards are classified into Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru, each reflecting different expressions of the terroir.
Régnard’s vineyards are planted on the region’s signature Kimmeridgian limestone soils, rich in fossilized marine sediments that impart a distinct flinty minerality. These well-draining soils, combined with the cool climate, contribute to wines with precision, tension, and longevity. By focusing on restrained winemaking techniques, Régnard ensures that each wine fully expresses the purity and elegance of its terroir.
