The house is renowned for its extensive network of Gallo-Roman chalk cellars, or "crayères," which provide ideal aging conditions and are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Based in Reims, the heart of the Champagne region, Charles Heidsieck sources grapes from a diverse array of crus, encompassing the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs. The chalk cellars of Charles Heidsieck, located 30 meters underground, maintain a constant temperature and humidity, essential for the slow maturation of their wines.
