Champagne Lallier was founded in 1906 by René Lallier in the heart of Aÿ, one of Champagne’s most prestigious Grand Cru villages. With a focus on crafting wines that balance tradition and innovation, the house has become known for its elegant and terroir-driven Champagnes. Now part of the Campari Group, Lallier continues to emphasize quality, sustainability, and a deep connection to its roots.
Aÿ, located in the Montagne de Reims, is renowned for its Grand Cru status and its ideal conditions for growing Pinot Noir. The region enjoys a cool climate with significant influence from the Marne River, which helps moderate temperatures and ensures a long growing season. Aÿ’s winemaking history dates back centuries, making it a cornerstone of Champagne heritage.
Lallier’s vineyards are planted on the chalk-rich soils that define the Montagne de Reims. The chalk provides excellent drainage and reflects sunlight, aiding vine health and ripeness while preserving freshness.
