Founded in 1930, M. Hostomme is a family-owned Champagne house based in the village of Chouilly. Now in its fifth generation, the estate is dedicated to producing wines that reflect the character of their Grand Cru vineyards. The house blends traditional methods with a modern understanding of winemaking, focusing on precision and showcasing the unique identity of each cuvée.
M. Hostomme is located in Chouilly, a renowned Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs, the epicenter of Chardonnay production in Champagne. The region’s cool climate and proximity to the Marne River create ideal conditions for crafting elegant, balanced sparkling wines with vibrant acidity and longevity.
The terroir of Chouilly is characterized by pure chalk soils, which enhance water retention and provide essential minerality to the wines. The Cuvée Tradition Brut is primarily Chardonnay, with small additions of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, resulting in a blend that highlights freshness, complexity, and a creamy texture. This terroir-driven approach ensures wines of finesse, with delicate citrus notes, floral aromatics, and a refined, persistent finish.
